What if we want to specifically stay in the Drovers Inn or the Drovers Lodge?
To ensure your room is where you want it to be, you are best booking via reception on 01301 704234.
There are no rooms available for our requested date(s), do you have a cancellation list?
If you want a specific date for a special occasion or anniversary but nothing is available, call our reception on 01301 704234 or email your details to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll contact you if anything suitable becomes available.
What if I need to cancel or amend my booking?
Guests wishing to cancel a booking are asked to email us in plenty of time to ensure the cancellation policy is not invoked. In the event of cancelling a room within 72 hours of date of arrival, the full outstanding balance will be charged for the first night. Should you need to amend a booking, please contact reception on 01301 704234 or by e-mail.
Do you do gift vouchers? Is there any limit to how many can be purchased?
Yes, we do gift vouchers which are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Gift vouchers can be used against accommodation or dining and are available in any amount required. Please contact reception to arrange.
Is it possible to pay for accommodation as a present but let them book their own date(s)?
Yes, we’re happy to help in all surprises and can simply make the gift voucher out for the present that was purchased and let the recipient(s) book their stay.
Is it possible to have flowers, wine or champagne in our room on arrival?
Yes, we’re happy to help with this, just speak to our reception staff. Even if you’re not the one staying, you can let us know the name of the intended party and booking dates and make payment for the item yourself. We’ll then leave a note who the surprise is from.
What time can we check in?
You can check in to your room any time from 3pm onwards or earlier by arrangement.
When do we need to check out?
Rooms are to be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.
Is an early check in/late check out available?
For anyone wishing an extension to our normal check in / checkout times, a £5.00 per hour surcharge is added to your bill. This is subject to a maximum of 3 hours and is subject to availability.
Is breakfast included in the room rates?
All room prices quoted on our website are per room per night and include breakfast and vat at the current rate. Times when breakfast is served changes slightly depending on the season, please check with reception when checking in.
Is parking available?
Yes, free onsite parking is available.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment in sterling and take Chip and Pin, Visa, MasterCard and Maestro. Unfortunately we no longer accept cheques.
Do you provide entertainment?
In high season we have live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and often on Sunday nights too when it is a bank holiday weekend. In low season we have live music on Saturday nights. We also have live music for our Hogmanay celebrations. We can also provide live music on mid week nights for group bookings if requested. See the News & Events page of our website for more details.
Are you a Dog Friendly Pub? Are you a Dog Friendly Hotel ?
Dogs are always welcome in our bar area. If you are staying overnight we allow dogs in some of our rooms at an extra £5.00 per night.
Is smoking allowed in any of the rooms?
We operate a no smoking policy for all areas of all buildings.
When do you serve food from your bar menu?
Monday to Saturday: 11:30am – 10:00pm
Sunday: 11:30am – 9:30pm
Monday to Sunday: 11:30am – 9:30pm
Is there anywhere to store valuables when i'm away all day hiking?
Sorry, not at present.
Are children allowed in the bar areas?
Children are welcome in bar areas until 8:30pm, after this time they are welcome in the dining room.
Can you accommodate for people on a special diet?
We have a variety of items on our menu catering for vegetarians. A vegetarian breakfast can also be provided. If you have any other special diet or food intolerances, please enquire with reception and we will endeavour to cater for your requirements wherever possible.
Do you have rooms that are wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we have a room in the Drovers Lodge.
Do you offer a laundry service?
Not available at this time.
Do you have wifi?
Free WiFi is available but at the moment only in the public areas of The Drovers itself.
